American Neighborhood Housing Foundation, is a non-profit homeowner advocacy group. The mission is preserving homeownership by stopping foreclosure sales and successful structuring of new payment plans. There is intrinsic value in homeownership and protecting it through life’s difficulties is the attainable goal in all of the Foundation’s endeavors. The sole focus of our work, research, and development is to utilize every strategy to protect your home. We work tirelessly to bring hope for a brighter tomorrow.

In 2000, our founder and Executive Director, R. McIlwaine Keever, Jr. saw an opportunity to help homeowners who were needlessly losing homes to foreclosure. Mac spent many years in real estate development where he focused on affordable housing. It troubled him deeply to see what was taking place. The president of a mortgage company asked his assistance in facilitating negotiations between homeowners and lenders, and very quickly, Mac recognized the tremendous task in front of him. In order to be effective in behalf of homeowners, Mac hit the road and met with decisions makers at mortgage companies from Florida to Utah. Through follow-up, perseverance, and a never-say-never attitude, Mac knew thousands of distressed homeowners could now have a passionate advocate in their corners. He set about making American Neighborhood Housing Foundation the premier organization where homeowners can expect their best interests are being protected and homeownership is the order of the day, first, foremost, and always.

As American Neighborhood Housing Foundation has continued to grow and succeed where others have failed, it became clear the cornerstone for the Foundation’s overwhelming success would be development and cultivation of substantial contacts within the lending industry. Today there are hundreds of senior level contacts in virtually all mortgage companies. The commitment is a two part process: The first is to stop the currently scheduled auction. Next, a plan must be facilitated which offers the homeowner and the lender a long term solution to the current mortgage delinquency. With lots of individual hard work, this is the approach which continues to create the Foundation’s success stories. Home ownership continues for countless families who would otherwise have become statistics in the foreclosure nightmare. We acknowledge our success with pride and satisfaction that both homeowners and lenders benefit from the Foundation’s creation of a positive outcome in a negative circumstance.
